RADIO SILENCE PDF UPDATE
After looking at the previous update schedule I am relieved to see that it's still a few weeks away before getting concerned. The below is pure speculation based on communications and non-communications from reMarkable during the last year, and I believe that most of the non-updates comes from them being a fairly small company doing the best with what they have. What are you guys hoping for in the next update? Hopefully we get an update from they in both blog and software. Or how about quickly flipping through the pages? Double tap the left or right buttons to flip 5 or 10 pages ahead. For instance you can open a notebook, select the page button to display all pages, and the have a bookmark button to list all bookmarked pages.
Bookmarks should be for pages as well, not just for notebooks. What could also be improved is the notebook experience. Perhaps a ruler that draws a straight line (simple dragging motion) using the currently selected pen settings. There's plenty of open space on the toolbar and it's time we get some new writing/drawing utensils. What I hope to see in the next update(s) is an improved writing experience. I wanted to get away from my computer and both of these encourage me to go back to the laptop. I own a ReMarkable because I love the paper-like experience.

With update 1.6.0.6 the two biggest changes were Hand-written conversion and Improved PDF Export. Most of us are eagerly awaiting the next update and I'm also not sure I agree with the direction it's headed. Since December, we haven't heard anything. It was mostly marketing but it was still a way of the company reaching out to their users and potential users. If we look back on 2018, the company has generally posted to their blog about twice a month.
